Meet Claire

I’m Claire Cusack, an oil and soft pastel artist living in Canberra, Australia.

I love capturing my life as it – in the here and now. I take inspiration from the world around me. Painting allows me to hold onto these moments, to give them weight and permanence. I completely switch off when doing my art and enter my own world.

Why am I drawn to creating art?

Before the sun rises, my studio is filled with a rare kind of silence. In that stillness, distractions fall away and I am able to listen more closely — to my own thoughts, to memory, and to the quiet energy of my art taking shape. These moments feel private and precious, as though the day has not yet begun and anything is possible.

The path of an artist is not an easy one, being an artist means being persistent, believing in yourself and also a willingness to live with uncertainty. I am blessed that I have the time and space to let my creativity flow.

About Us

Why do I paint what I paint?

I paint intricate wildlife art and emotive portraiture and strive to foster a deep emotional connection between the subject and the viewer whether through a portrait or a lifelike depiction of a bird or animal.

I feel a strong sense of pride when my artwork is in people homes – which is why I love to make my art accessible through turning it into easy gift giving. I invite you to invest in my fine art prints and homewares because they offer a piece of that personal and emotive storytelling, allowing them to bring the vibrancy and warmth that defines my work into your home.

I hope that each of my creations brings a sense of warmth and narrative into your and your loved one’s homes.

Fine Art Prints and Homewares

I create fine art prints, wall art and homewares that feature my own original designs, each one developed from a hand-painted or hand-drawn artwork created in my studio. These pieces are thoughtfully transformed into high-quality art prints and home décor items that maintain the detail, texture and feeling of the original work.

Designed to suit a range of interiors, my collection offers meaningful gift ideas for art lovers, special occasions and thoughtful gift giving, while also providing timeless wall art and homewares that bring warmth, character and a sense of story into everyday living spaces.
